Family Garden - Dublin 7
The client travels frequently to Japan for work and is influenced by their aesthetic sense and design sensibility. The Japanese language famously has a word for every feeling, and the sense (feeling, atmosphere etc) we're looking for in our garden is きょうき (Ky ōki) “pleasant / calm surprise in symphony with surroundings”.
There were also practical considerations, namely to incorporate a garden shed and play centre for their young children.
- Bonsai pine & wall feature
- Multi stem Cornus kousa & Japanese maple
- Rock sculpture with moss.
- Rendered walls in white sand.
